Speaking in Tongues

I use a lot of words. I love language. Some of the words I use are 'subject specific', so I figured it might be helpful to people if I put out a glossary. That's all this site is, so if you want to look at my other lovely sites you'll have to travel. The words defined here by me will maybe give you a flavour of what my other sites are about, though. These are my definitions, by the way. Buy a dictionary or write your own if you disagree.

Still Around

I figure I should state my continued presence, so that this blog doesn't get axed. I am still making use of this space from time to time. Language is a rare interest, and though I don't say much here I think the site continues to have value, at least to me.

I've recently been reading the works of author Dan Abnett. I've learnt more new words reading this author for a couple of weeks than I have in all my reading over the last 5 years, so for those hungry for new words I recommend his science-fiction in particular.

Word for today - 'rugose' - wrinkly.

Audio Blogging

Speaking of speaking, Audio Blogging sounds really cool. I'd love to try it, but at the minute you have to make a call to the US, and I don't want that kind of phone bill ! Maybe they will get a UK number for us to use instead sometime soon.
